Located in 16th-century Holdenby House, Icarus Falconry has flocked its extensive collection of birds of prey into this unique example of Tudor architecture. The falconry hosts bird of prey experiences, demonstrations, and displays of the noblest order, allowing guests to stick their talons into this ancestral of pastimes. As well as tours and flying presentations the centre plays host to exclusive hunting days and wild photography workshops.
Swooping upon the grounds, explorers will be ushered into the grand estate (usually closed to the public) to investigate the falconry’s diverse array of raptors. Equipped with suitable footwear, guests are offered a hot drink while the expert falconers prepare the birds for the flying demonstration. After getting up close and personal with these dazzling creatures the team will remain on hand to answer any questions, leaving plenty of time to absorb the surroundings and exhaust snap-happy trigger fingers.
