With the philosophy of golf for all, Glendale Golf group consists of eight course locations from Hampshire to Nottinghamshire, all of which are open to the public without the need for elitist membership. The Richmond Park centre has two 18-hole courses, as well as a driving range, pro shop, restaurant, and golf coaching by PGA-trained instructors. Driving, chipping, and putting in the grandeur of one of London’s eight royal parks, players will have an arresting view of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and may see some of the herds of red and fallow deer that roam the park freely.
Two or four golfers will be able to spend a day at the course, playing as many rounds of golf as they can fit in. They can also try their luck at the driving range with 120 balls, and will be treated to a complimentary cup of coffee or tea. To top it all off, guests will receive a 10% discount voucher for the pro shop.
Reviews
Richmond Park received a par 3/5 courtesy of Golf Shake users. While some found the courses quite forgiving, recent weather conditions made for a greater challenge and players have also complimented the courses' setting.
The course was playing a lot harder and less forgiving than it usually does. With the recent rain the rough was left as is so any errant shot was punished. Richmond Park can tend to be less of a challenge than other courses in Surrey so the the long grass rough was actually welcomed. – Carl N, Golf Shake, Jul 2012
The Princes course has some wonderful views across the park and the wildlife of geese, foxes, rabbits add to the fact you cannot believe you are in London. The holes are all a challenge and with the dog legs giving you some fun and greens keep you guessing as to how much the ball will turn and sometime suprise you with how little they do so. – Craig Bush, UkGolfGuide.com, Apr 2011
