Serving up a contemporary feast of modern European cuisine, Montrose Restaurant wears its AA rosette with style, tipping a chef’s hat to Great British gastronomy. Epicureans can dig in to a menu of seasonal bites, which is crafted using locally sourced where possible.
Guests can pair a hearty main with either starter or dessert, and beginning dishes include paprika and black pepper calamari. Taste buds can then proceed on to a main of grilled 28-day hung sirloin steak, with mediterranean vegetable tian, garlic creamed potato and rosemary jus. Less meaty options are available, with aubergine wraps with goats’ cheese and pine nuts also available on the set menu. Everything will be washed down with a sparkly Champagne cocktail each, and those with a sweet tooth can choose instead to enjoy desserts such as a tasty trio of crème brulees, or a gooey dark chocolate fondant.

We booked a table for six and had a really lovely meal. Rack of lamb, roast beef, veggie option etc all cooked to perfection. The home made bread was delicious too. Perfect location for an intimate and comfortable Sunday lunch. Very good value too for fine dining.
