The Hotel
A silver-bricked retreat perched amid in the seaside town of Sandown, The Riviera Hotel takes pride of place between golden beaches and a quaint town centre. The guesthouse greets its visitors with an outdoor terrace, canopied by parasols, before leading them into the warmly decorated restaurant and bar lounge. The traditionally styled en suite bedrooms are blended with homely comforts for a cosy seaside stay, and some rooms add to the atmosphere with views over the Culver Cliffs.

Spend a morning exploring the coastline by foot or bicycle, or hop aboard the bus to take a little further afield, stopping off for a game of golf at one of the local clubs, or picking up souvenirs in the many glass-making studios in the area. A trip to the enchanting depths of Shanklin Chine is a must, and the Isle of Wight’s oldest tourist attraction is resplendent with trickling waterfalls and exotic plants, particularly when lit up at night. Alternatively, take the kids to visit one of the various family-friendly attractions on the island, such as the Isle of Wight Zoo, Amazon World Zoo Park, and Dinosaur Isle.

Transport
Ferries: Car and passenger ferries depart from Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington.
Train: Trains run from London Waterlooto Portsmouth and Southamption for ferry rides across to the Isle of Wight. When on the island, trains can then be taken from Ryde Pier Head or Esplanade down to Sandown.
Road: When arriving at Ryde Pier Head or Cowes, take the A3055 or A3020 to Sandown, an approximately 40 minute drive.

Spotless rooms, brilliant room service. The rooms were cleaned everyday also the beds were made daily. Entertainment on every night with well stocked bar. Good variety of homemade food and cooked to perfection. Would strongly reccomend. [sic]
