An early competitor for the Inn was the Outt, which didn’t do very well because the owners were never in. Find out why the inn won outright with today’s Groupon: for £59 instead of £153.90 get a night’s accommodation and an evening meal at The Dog and Partridge Country Inn.
Neatly nestled on the borderlands between Derbyshire and Staffordshire, The Dog and Partridge is situated on the south tip of the Peak District. Simple bedrooms with quiet country elegance are equipped with en-suites, televisions and hot drink making facilities while the private garden is ideal for grassy strolls and squirrel impersonations. Locally brewed ales can be quaffed at the Lounge Bar and a range of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients go into the traditional dishes on the menu. And with a number of notable attractions nearby, the Dog and Partridge makes a perfect base camp from which to plan an assault on Alton Towers or to plot a calmer trip to Chatsworth House.
Groupon guests can treat a friend, loved one, or treasured stapler to a night at the Dog and Partridge with today’s deal. Also included is an evening meal from the á la carte menu, so hungry hikers can choose any main with which to refuel before a day’s walk in the national park: the local trout fillets served with a creamy Derbyshire Stilton sauce might delight, or the mushroom and pepper stroganoff could hit the spot (both £13.95). Free parking and Wi-Fi are provided, and partridges and dogs are welcomed, but will need to pay their way with a £10 supplementary fee. You can also opt to stay for a second night for £50 more, or upgrade to a family room for £30 per child which includes breakfast.

I loved it! The food was great - both in the bar and for breakfast. Rooms were clean, well equipped, with convinient[sic] parking just outside each bungalow. The staff were really nice and helpful.

It is a gorgeous, homely, clean hotel and the chalet bedrooms was a nice surprise. They felt like little houses, with their own driveway. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was nicely decorated with lovely coloured towels. The breakfast was so yummy and there was so much to choose from!
