Award-winning brewery, Muirhouse, took home the gold at the Leicester Beer Festival 2011, and continues to produce a hoppy range of glass fillers. The Ilkeston brewery's busy schedule sees it pumping out the likes of coffee porters and honey beers to local pubs and beer festivals. Incorporating locally-sourced ingredients like Derby honey whenever possible, the brewery has a proud local feel and its tipples take pride of place in bars of the area.
The experience day begins at 6am and will take beer fans through the whole journey of brewing. As well as being led through the entire process and having the recipe formulation explained, participants will get to sample the stocks and get hands-on with the products. Leaving at 3pm, customers will take home a crate of 12 bottles for the all-important taste test.
