Serving up fine British cuisine five days a week, the family-run The Hilcote Country Club also hires out function suites for business events, weddings, and other occasions. Located a stone’s throw away from the M1, the restaurant, which has a beer garden and patio, a play area, and complimentary parking, is easily accessible from Derby and Nottingham. 
Two guests can tuck into a three-course roast, starting with a choice of appetiser such as the crispy chicken strips or potato long boats (each at £2.50). For the main event, turkey or pork carvery is on the menu (£5.95) – or vegetarian lasagne for a meat-free option – with freshly prepared potatoes and veggies on the side (£4.95). Visitors can finish things off with a choice of dessert, which may include sponge puddings and apple pie (£2.50). A glass of wine (£1.80) is also included for each diner to capture the flavours to the fullest.
