Cocktails are not to be confused with cock tales; little chickens’ favourite bedtime stories. Wake up and smell the woo woo with today’s Groupon: £12 for cocktail afternoon tea for two at Nono8.

This stylishly chic bar and club boasts a cocktail menu fit to fill the length of a blue lagoon and all made using sweet confectionery additions and edible glitter. With more sparkle than a disco ball, the menu is filled with various Mojito concoctions, martinis laced with zests of lemon and strawberry as well as fancy drinks that dabble in hazelnut liquor, Haribo syrup, and cherry vodka. Contemporary baroque wallpaper deck the walls while plush leather sofas and rich, red velvet drapes make a statement in every corner.

Pinky finger lifters can raise a toast with a twist as their teapots are laced with a choice of tasty cocktails. There is a choice of over 30 concoctions including a range of winter warming drinks like the Choco Menthe and classics like the Italian inspired Bellini. Keeping things traditional, three rounds of crusted or crustless sandwiches are brought out with an array of fillings to choose from in the likes of salmon and cucumber, beef and horseradish, and ham and mustard. Not forgetting the sweet tooth, a selection of cakes are presented as well as homemade scones served with fruity jam and cream plus a pot of tea to bring things back to reality.
