About Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is an exfoliating technique in which dry and dead skin is smoothly sent off to seek its fortune by a controlled mechanical medium. Generally, the treatment is used to tackle fine lines, wrinkles and other visible skin woes, and is said to require a shorter recovery time than its slightly more intense older brother, dermabrasion.
The Merchant
Directing their treatments past the post office until they arrive at the body and face, Youth Maintenance offers body contouring and microdermabrasion treatments in the centre of Burton on Trent. Staff also provide Swedish full body massages and reflexology for visiting muscles, as well as procedures that focus on fine lines and wrinkles. The centre is open six days a week, hanging out a welcome sign until 7pm from Wednesday to Friday, and also offers parking to patrons.
The Sessions
Therapists will tend to cheeks and chins with the first microdermabrasion session that includes cleansing, toning, two serums, and a face mask, and lasts up to 60 minutes. The microdermabrasion will focus on exfoliating, and will culminate in the application of moisturiser to face, hands, and décolleté. Two further microdermabrasion sessions will last 40 minutes each, and include a cleanse, serum, mask, and moisturiser for the face. All clients will skip away from the salon with a complimentary face mask to use at home.

Aftercare
Sunblock should be applied after treatment. Avoid sunbathing, tanning and other forms of ultraviolet light for at least 7 days after treatment.
