A golfer can hone his or her game during a day's play on Glenisla's 18-hole parkland course (usually £51). Players must brave undulating terrain, slopes, bunkers and water hazards, and are rewarded by views of the neighbouring countryside. The day's exertions are fuelled by a choice of main course for lunch, such as ham, egg and chips (£6), Scotch pie, chips and beans (£6) or chicken goujons, the menu is subject to daily and seasonal change (£7.95).
The 180-acre Glenisla Golf Course features a varied 18-hole layout peppered with slopes, roughs and woodland. Golfers can approach the course from the forward tees for a relatively easy-going game, or approach it from the back tees for a much sturdier challenge. Elsewhere, a shop stocks equipment and a lounge bar and restaurant serve meals and refreshments. Accommodation is catered for by two homey cottages overlooking the course.
