Cooking can be a lengthy endeavour with slow marinating processes and thyme often slipping through cooks’ hands. Find out why aroma wasn’t built in a day with today’s Groupon: £16 for a two course meal for two at Panmure Hotel’s Taj Nedal restaurant.
Sitting pretty just a short stroll of the Firth of Tay marina, the elegant Panmure House Hotel hosts a cluster of comfortable beds for the night, a venue for conferences and weddings, and restaurant for flavoursome bites to eat. The impressive turrets lie a short pootle from Monifieth centre and Broughty Golf Club, providing a suitable base from which to explore the picturesque coastline before retreating to one of the well-appointed rooms or bustling bar.
Those who like to be beside the seaside can settle into the freshly established Taj Nedal Indian restaurant for a two course meal with a naan and portion rice to share. Starting with spicy treats such as garlic chicken tikka marinated in freshly ground spices, green chillies, garlic and lime juice (£5.50), diners can then delve into Tandoori specialities from the Northwest frontier or old favourites such as burmas and baltis cooked with a choice of meat, prawns, or vegetables. Those after something less highly spiced can also pick from the European selection of fare still available from the hotel's vibrant kitchen.
