Snowboarding was originally developed by mountaineering chess grandmasters who realised they could have more fun by abandoning their boards and sliding down nearby hills. Explore the great indoors with today's Groupon from Snow Factor. Choose from the following options:
• £18 for a 90 minute beginner lesson in skiing or snowboarding for one (Up to 55% off)• £36 for a 90 minute beginner lesson in skiing or snowboarding for two (Up to 55% off)
Having carved out a sub-zero world where cannons blast out over 1,500 tonnes of cold stuff, Snow Factor belies its frosty interior to give amateur and experienced ice adventurers a warm welcome. All ability levels are catered for with a learner and main slope to challenge even the most penguin-like patron. After trying cold hands at artic activities such as skiing, snow-boarding, ice-sliding, and ice-sliding, visitors can glide over to the alpine-themed SNO!bar for some cockle-warming après ski.
Snow-bound students will hit the slopes for 90 minutes, opting for either a skiing or snowboarding lesson with a highly qualified instructor. Sessions will cover the essentials of basic technique, including balance, correct stance, and how to avoid spending the duration of your experience in a horizontal position. After gaining some confidence, participants will be shown more advanced moves, such as the snow plough, to wow onlookers with. With equipment included (up to £6.50), students will concentrate on substance over style and set off on the slippery slope to black-diamond run glory. Post lesson, ski bunnies can refuel with a piece of cake (£2.50) and coffee (£2.20) at the slopeside cafe.
