Bending over backwards, forwards, and sideways to teach modern dance techniques, Bust A Move’s crew of professional poppers and lockers specialise in street dance and breakdancing tuition. Resident teachers help students toe the line as they pick up the basics of street dance, a form of dancing that fuses together elements of hip hop and pop moves, and breakdancing, a series of acrobatic moves performed to a backdrop of pumping hip hop beats. The movers and shakers are continually working on new choreography and welcome students to regular evening classes a short swagger from Dalston Kingsland tube.
The tutors will help students step up their skills over six two-hour lessons in either street dance or breakdancing. Street dance classes run on Mondays and Saturdays from 6pm to 8pm, and breakdancing is available on Tuesdays and Sundays from 6pm to 8pm. Classes will cover moves such as the windmill and freeze, and can be followed up by extra practice sessions, accompanied by a DJ.
