Before the invention of exercise, people would get in shape by going into the town square with a circle of friends. Tri-another-angle with today’s Groupon: £30 for five power plate sessions at Good Vibes Studios.
The boutique fitness studio buzzes bodies into shape with specially designed workouts served up on power plates in three delectable central locations. Well experienced trainers hold down the forts in Liverpool Street, Covent Garden, and Fitzrovia, honing in on flailing moves through their backgrounds in yoga, dance, and martial combat. The studio ensures the experience is far removed from traditional corporate gyms, offering fun, engaging music in bright, spacious rooms along free-flowing mint tea, and small class sizes for more one-on-one time with trainers.

With five classes of power plating ahead of them, customers can ready their stances and hop onto the machine at the Liverpool Street branch for five 25 minute sessions of good vibrations. Ideal for beginners, the exercise involves holding a position, such as a lunge or squat, while the power plate machine does its magic, shimmying and shaking bodies. During this, muscles fibres are engaged and coaxed into contracting and relaxing, much like in traditional forms of exercise.
Valid at:
Good Vibes Studios, 18 Devonshire Row, London, EC2M 4RH
Mon-Fri 7.30am-2pm, Mon-Wed 5pm-8pm, Fri 4pm-8pm, Thu evening closed.
Reviews
While the Liverpool Street branch of Good Vibes has not yet attracted reviews, fitness enthusiasts have commented favourably on the branch in Fitzrovia, praising the fun classes and supportive staff.
All the staff are friendly, professional and encouraging and have been from the very start and are always eager to help me make the most of my sessions – even when I shout! All the trainers explain and demonstrate the exercises clearly and if something isn't working hard enough they're all approachable and full of suggestions in which to vary the exercises to get the best out of my 25 minutes. I'm constantly challenged which is exactly what a lazybones like me needs.
