It is believed that the photographic darkroom is the darkest place in the universe, second only to the black hole and the bottom left-hand corner of the closet. Find your way in the dark with today’s Groupon: £39 for a darkroom introductory course at Rosetta Arts Centre.
Bringing the visual arts to adults, Rosetta Art Centre caters to imaginative minds and busy schedules, with an array of accredited and non-accredited courses in drawing, painting, photography, art history, and textiles. This introductory darkroom photo developing course sheds light on darkroom practice, illuminating care of equipment, safe handling procedures, and developing an understanding of technique. By the end of the course pupils will have put their new skills to the test, creating a number of their own photographic works. The course is open to anyone, and supporting hand-outs will help usher students forward on their quests of development.
