"I'm an atheist, an absolute sceptic regarding the paranormal, and we went on the underground tour in the middle of a bright, sunny day... but I have to admit, it gave me the willies (two of our tour group actually bailed out fairly early on). It's not for the faint-of-heart (putting aside the great ghost stories on the tour, the opening look at historical torture implements is highly unsettling). But it's all in good fun. Our tour guide, Loren (who I believe may be the fastest-talking woman in Scotland), was knowledgeable, likeable, and an outstanding storyteller. We were concerned a walking tour would be too "tourist-y," but this was actually great fun, very informative, and more than a bit creepy. Definitely worthwhile."
