Patrolling the grounds of Gosford Estate, Harelaw Equestrian Centre is home to a selection of ponies with an indoor school for all-weather riding to boot. Lessons range from private one-on-ones to group sand-school giddy-ups, as well as hacks and treks around the surrounding woodlands. Saddled-up for all levels of rider, the horses are suitable for beginners through to cowboy and cowgirl pros, with experts afforded the opportunity to stampede across the nearby beaches.

Donning the helmets and grabbing the reins, horse-back hankers can enjoy an hour lesson in the sand school.
