Saddles are not to be confused with paddles, as although both are equipment used in outdoor sports, only one will bring a horse to water. Whet your appetite for riding with today's Groupon from Harelaw Equestrian Centre. Choose from the following options:
• £10 for a one hour horse riding lesson (60% off)• £19 for a one hour horse riding lesson and a trek or hack (62% off)
Patrolling the grounds of Gosford Estate, Harelaw Equestrian Centre is home to a selection of ponies with an indoor school for all-weather riding to boot. Lessons range from private one-on-ones to group sand-school giddy-ups, as well as hacks and treks around the surrounding woodlands. Saddled-up for all levels of rider, the horses are suitable for beginners through to cowboy and cowgirl pros, with experts afforded the opportunity to stampede across the nearby beaches.
Donning the helmets and grabbing the reins, horse-back hankers can enjoy an hour lesson in the sand school. Once acquainting the rider with their steed, the instructors will give guidance to the group, which will comprise no more than 10 saddle surfers. Lessons are conducted according to ability levels, so from learning the basic ropes to perfecting gallops, instructors can trot through correct postures. Those that fancy a further hour can sign up for a trek or hack and pass through the gateway for a horseback gander at the countryside.
