The Hotel
Resplendent in rustic surroundings, Acarsaid Hotel & Lodge is a cosy guesthouse sitting prettily in the quaint Victorian town of Pitlochry. The hotel is delicately furnished with 29 homely en suite rooms, all individually decorated to blend classic interiors with contemporary amenities. Downstairs, the establishment’s ever-changing menu is peppered with grilled steaks, slow-cooked lamb, and freshly-prepared fish dishes, as well as traditional cooked breakfasts. As well as curbing hunger pangs, the hotel quenches thirsts with a tipple or two at their small – but perfectly formed – bar which overspills with a spread of real ales and malt whiskeys. Eager for visitors to explore the delights of the region, the establishment also provide theatre and golf packages for their guests by special request.
Groupon Recommends
Be at one with nature with a trip to the nearby Tay Forest Park and pass the trickling waters of the River Tummel to the dam on Loch Faskally, either on foot or via a relaxing bike ride. Those wishing to revel in Scottish history can visit the medieval Blair Castle, or quench their cultural thirsts at the Blair Atholl or Atholl Place museums. Respite in the form of a pint and a plate of Scottish fare can be found in the handful of restaurants and traditional country pubs dotted around the town centre.

Reviews
TripAdvisors rate the Acarsaid Hotel a comfortable 3.5/5 and 74% of LateRoomers would stay there again. Reviewers were in favour of the location, the food and adequate facilities. Aspects of the hotel could be updated.
The hotel, although a bit worn in places and in need of some money spent on decor, has a really good feel to it. Our room (9) didn't have a shower but did have a bath and to be honest, it made a pleasant change as we found it more relaxing to lounge around in the bath for a while. The food really was excellent, full marks to the Chef.

The room was adequately furnished with tea/coffee making facilities and the bathroom looked like it was recently refurbished. The choice at breakfast time was excellent and the service was very quick despite them being very busy.
