The silver screen has long been employed to entertain, inform, and prolong sandwich freshness. Bite into cinematic sustenance with today's Groupon: £8 for two gold pass tickets for the Dominion Cinema.
A glimmering selection of silver screens that plays homage to Britain's original cinemas, the Dominon's nostalgic, boutique feel is only upstaged by the reel of films on offer. Four screens vary in size, with a 586-seater accommodating for new releases, and a 47-seater catering to more intimate affairs. Spacious and invitingly ambient art deco interiors are complimented by reclining armchairs and sofas, making for a unique and comfortable cinema experience.
After settling into comfy thrones and sharing yarns over ill-begotten puffed kernels, golden ticket holders embark on an optimistic jaunt through big-screen entertainment. Visitors can choose from a selection of popular new releases or anxiously anticipate a bevy of coming attractions.
The Dominion Cinema received an award worthy 4/5 stars on Qype, with audiences giving a standing ovation to the impressive vintage style and cosy atmosphere.
Forget faceless cinemas and think of a vintage style deco cinema run by a local family. The dominion is the cinema from heaven with some of the screens with big comfy leather sofas and foot stools!

As soon as I walked through the door I could instantly see the beauty of such an old and homely venue. The entrance was lovely and staff at the reception were welcoming and friendly. All of the pictures taken with actors/actresses and directors lining the walls on the way to the screens really add to the old school cinema experience. It was really a treat to sit on the comfy two-seater couches and put our feet up, and it made a change from the extremely busy and expensive Vue.
