St Andrews' internationally renowned golfing reputation is affirmed here, with two lavish courses that overlook the rugged scenery, and accolades such as the Resort Hotel of the Year 2010 from Golf Tourism Scotland. Stomach grumbles are silenced with six dining options available; each is individually themed and styled but united in a dedication to use locally-sourced produce where possible, including home-made Dundee cake and lobsters from the East Neuk of Fife.
Throwing open the curtains in their deluxe sea view room, guests can don on the soft dressing gowns and take in the sweeping views of the Bay of St Andrew while relishing in the heated bathroom floor and modern amenities. Access to the spa facilities is included, facilitating a dip in the 16m indoor swimming pool, or a respite in the sauna and steam room.

Modern, tasteful, very accommodating to one's requests and with an awesome international breakfast buffet which seems to be at least the size of one of the Old Course's double greens. Plus it has an enviable location overlooking three golf courses, St. Andrews itself and the whole of St. Andrews Bay and across to Carnoustie.
