A master in the art of sugar craft and baking, Jo Jo shares her rich wisdom in small classes held during the evening. That the proof is in the pudding, her skills are displayed in the accompanying bakery which serves up Danish and European sweet treats including jam filled sponge cakes, gingerbread, and spiralling cinnamon swirls. Flavouring Edinburgh city centre, Jo Jo's Danish Bakery is found a short cake crumb trail from the train station.
The two and a half hour cupcake decorating course gives expert guidance on how to raise bouncy soft delights adorned with elegant iced hats; proud cupcake parents will get to take home six little treasures as well as a wealth of knowledge. The course provides complimentary refreshments and clients can bring a long a bottle if they wish.

I actually only managed half, and saved the rest for the later. But oh boy that was goooood. They do croissants, cakes, danish pastries (no surprises) that are so fresh, home-made and oozing with flavour, light pastry, buttery, sugary goodness. The savoury tarts / quiche type things looked lovely too. The café is a really cute space, and the server told me they do a games night on a Wednesday too that sounds like fun.

Know your enemy

Don’t be picky
Eggers can’t be choosers, so round up everything from Scotch eggs and eggnog, to the poor people whose parents thought Egbert was a good name.
Know where to look
Never mind scrabbling around under ornaments and plant pots at home, for a really successful hunt be a little more canny. Raid the nearest Easter arts and crafts fair, or check the faces of recently disgraced politicians.
Ask permission before hunting on someone else’s land. Poaching an egg is an offence in some counties.
Trust no one
Especially children. If someone tells you they’ve already checked the bathroom and there’s nothing in there, it almost certainly means they’re guarding a secret hoard of eggs.
