• £13 for Danish afternoon tea for two with six Danish pastries to take home
Those wanting a change from the usual afternoon tea can pour themselves a cup of culture with a Danish version of the classic tea for two. Delicate nibblers can pick at an open sandwich platter - squares of rye bread layered with liver pâté, sweet pickled herring and home grown Danish Havarti cheese. Thirst can be quenched with some fine Italian coffee or a pot of one of the many tea options. Taking the tea party home with them, diners can select six pastries to munch on later, including a succulent raspberry crown or the creamy vanilla custard crown, certain to melt in the mouth.

It's a Danish Bakery, baking its own fresh Danish cakes, pastries and savouries. It's food. It's good. It's totally nom-able. It's a cute little café just off the Royal Mile that's a wee bit different. If you haven't, go!

Laced with a thick ribbon of cinnamon, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside (bit like me, except for the cinnamon). They were also huge and neither of us could finish it in a one-er.
