Covering all modes of sky scraping, the museum hosts a Boeing 707 exhibition for all wannabe jetsetters as well as parachute packing for thrill-seeking cloud surfers. The museum is also home to a variety of events, including science and craft workshops, alongside the annual airshow.

Witness winged wonders with a family ticket for this year's airshow, valid for two adults and two children. For the first time the flight display features the OV-10 Bronco, Jet Provost, RV8tors and Jungmann aircraft as well as the iconic Concord. Military motor birds such as Breitling Wing Walkers, Spitfire 26 and navy helicopters will also show off their flighty prowess, while fun on the ground can also be had with baton twirlers, pipe bands, flight simulators and mountain bikers in the main arena and surrounding aircraft hangars.

Excellent and well worth venturing out of Edinburgh along the coast to visit. The main attraction is of course Concorde, but for me just seeing all the old planes is fascinating.
