About Mole Screening
This procedure aims to identify and map all the moles on a person's bodily world, and includes a detailed examination of any moles that look out of the ordinary. A hand-held scanner is then used to monitor the areas underneath the surface of these moles. A detailed medical history is also noted down before a report is then given to the client. Any further action necessary is then recommended by the practitioner.

The Merchant
Sanctus Clinic employs high-tech scanning technology to perform health checks on moles and other areas of the body. The private company is found a short drive north of Edinburgh city centre and extends its opening hours until 8pm every Thursday.
The Session
Lasting around one hour, the session can be used to examine the health of either a single or multiple moles located on the face or body. First, the medical practitioner will perform a visual check, looking at the size and shape of moles, recording asymmetry, border, colour, diameter, and evolving change of the single freckles. Next, a scan will be performed on up to 8 moles that look out of the ordinary, giving immediate results which will be printed for the client to take home for their own records. The print can also be shown them to a GP if further medical attention is recommended.
