The wood-panelled rooms were formerly Old Rutherford’s Bar, frequented by the writer of Treasure Island, Edinburgh-born Robert Louis Stevenson, and many a one-legged stranger. This shady joint is frequented by hundreds of travellers, who admire the seasonal Mediterranean food and unlucky seadog Johnny Bones dangling from the ceiling.
