Cocktail bars should not be confused with Cocktale bars, which can be rather overrun with chicken literature. Book in for some good food with today's Groupon from Tonic. Choose from the following options:
• £23 for a three course modern European meal for two (Up to 59% off)• £45 for a three course modern European meal for four (Up to 60% off)

Turning off from Edinburgh’s stylish George Street, city-dwellers come face-to-face with Tonic, an independent cocktail lounge and restaurant that has been serving up eclectic fare for over a decade. The eatery’s menu displays a diverse blend of British and European cuisine, with offerings including aromatic seafood, tender cuts of meat, and velvety-rich risotto dishes. The establishment is shaken – but not stirred – with a bar spread of classic cocktails, such as Martini, Woo Woos, and Daiquiris.
Feasts could begin with pork and thyme patties with a tomato and coriander yoghurt dressing (£7.95) or mushroom polenta cakes with home-made pesto and mixed leaves (£6.95). Main courses may come in the shape of the seared red mullet with Parmesan risotto and a warm gazpacho sauce (£14.95), or the oven-baked camembert with sweet onion marmalade (£8). Taste buds will then be suitably sweetened with the chef’s home-made dessert of the day (£5), and diners can further the nights festivities with 30% off the extensive cocktail and drinks menu.
