Coaxing youthful musicians on to the stage and tuning in with their inner rock god, this team of cool and contemporary tutors have experience and lyrical passion spilling from their gig bags. The Rock Project aims to get seven to 16 year olds brimming with the confidence of a diva, as they practice in a band situation, getting used to performing, and working on angelic singing voices. Tutors will aim to instil kids with skills like teamwork, cooperation, and communication, while identifying strengths and striking a chord with personal student support.

Two hour sessions will be sorted by age group, with seven to 10 year olds beginning with a group sing-song of classic rock songs and movie soundtracks. Both age groups can get jamming in a ‘plug and play’ session, encouraging pupils to perform with other instrumentalists as a band, before a quiz gets rockers’ brains buzzing with fun facts mingled with musical theory and history. Older students will also get the chance to perform any tunes they’ve perfected outside of classes, and, while the tutors select songs to study, pupils are encouraged to place studious requests for their favourite radio bangers.
