Before chimneys, Santa attempted teleportation technology, and often landed in the dog’s bed with backwards-antlered reindeer. Get swept up in festive fun with today’s Groupon: £14 for a ticket to the ‘Search for Santa’ park tour with Santa’s grotto visit, gift, and train ride at Paradise Wildlife Park.
With a whole menagerie of well-cared for animals poised to celebrate the festive season in unflappable style, Paradise Wildlife Park has added a Santa’s grotto to get monkeys, tigers, and visiting humans in the Christmas spirit. Throughout the year the park is lively with prowling big cats including lions and tigers, curious critters such as meerkats and alpacas, and slippery fellows like alligators and snakes. Two-legged child-shaped day trippers can also take a break from the animal sights to take a tumble in the jungle play area, paddle in the lagoon pool, or have a snack in one of the food outlets, while adults may enjoy the colourful serenity of the park’s beautiful gardens.
Santa-seekers can enjoy access to the park for the whole day, free to sample the sights at their leisure and take a trip on the Woodland Railway, with the tour taking place between midday and 3pm. The experience sleds off with welcome drinks, a mince pie, and biscuits in the Discovery Centre, before a team member comes to collect the group. The treasure hunt then commences around the park, with a trail of clues leading through the farmyard, the reptile temple, the rainforest jungle, and the VIP cabin, also incorporating a chance to meet one of Santa’s reindeer. Festive-themed success leads to Santa’s grotto, where each person receives their own gift-wrapped present from the highly-sought man himself.
