Run by former BBC Masterchef contestant Ann Hood, The Smart School of Cookery whips budding chefs into shape by spreading some culinary magic in Danbury. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in their purpose built kitchens, Ann and her team offer individual gastronomic tuition, bespoke catering, and regular classes. Tailored for a range of ages and abilities whilst adhering to the philosophy that too many cooks spoil the broth, lessons are kept intimate to ensure individual time with the chef.

Keen cooking aficionados partake in a half day cookery class, ending with their own self-catered meal of multiple courses to enjoy the fruits and vegetables of their labour with a glass of wine. Slipping on a crisp white apron, students roll up their sleeves to follow the expert guidance of the chef. Punctuated with refreshments throughout the session, cooks are kept simmering until preparation of their three course feast reaches completion.
