Offering an irresistible smorgasbord of classes and courses, The Smart School of Cookery fuses cooking enquiries with culinary craftsmanship. Classes aim to teach the art of making Indian and Japanese cuisine as well as getting Spanish and seafood dishes down to a tee, to ensure future dinner parties are an exquisite cut above the rest. The School offers a dining and learning experience, recording tips and tricks from professional cooks whilst taking it all in a relaxing, informal atmosphere. All ingredients are used fresh and sourced locally where possible, and everything else is provided, including information packs, recipes, and clean aprons.
Budding solo or duetting sushi high rollers can get nimble with their fingers during a three hour class on Japanese cooking. After donning aprons and chef hats if they so wish, tutees will learn the craft of how to make tempura prawns, courgette ribbons, poached cod with shiitake and duck ramen, rustling up a total of around 20 pieces of sushi. Once the final grain of rice has been neatly packed in, students can save or scoff their freshly made delicacies. Tea, coffee and refreshments are provided throughout the day to keep energy levels high.
