Gulliver's Kingdom keeps adventurers entertained and unleashes inner daredevils with attractions and rides for all size of explorer.
A hillside fantasy land with everything from Lilliputians and fairies to gigantic dinosaurs, Groupon finds out a bit more about the mystical goings on at Gulliver's Kingdom.
What is Gulliver's? A theme park designed to offer a fun day out for the whole family. It’s been family running for 35 years, and has more than 60 rides, attractions and shows tailored to children aged between 2 and 13.
What are the rides like? The park is split in to themed lands such as Adventure Land with the Flight of Fantasy ride, and Dinosaur Kingdom where explorers can dig for fossils, or ride the Dino Explorer Cars. The log flume and Silver Mine ride are the main attractions of Western World, and the Lilliput Loco Train takes the littlest of visitors on a ride through a land of even tinier people.
How about other attractions? For a break from the adrenaline, there are shows running throughout the days, including Leonard the Lion's Jungle Jive and the Gilly Rose Fairy Show where guests can learn all the tricks of the magic trade. There is also the party house to explore and the toyland play area, as well as the adventure golf and diggers to get stuck in to.
Are there any new attractions? For a small additional charge, visitors can be amongst the first to complete a top-secret mission at the brand new Spy Zone experience. This involves dodging laser beams, diffusing bombs and navigating secret passageways before graduating as a top spy.
And for grown-ups? Mums and dads can enjoy most of the rides with the little 'uns, but there is also the more mellow Chair Lift, which offer panoramic views over the Derbyshire dales. For a bit of a break, there are coffee shops and eateries with bits and bobs to keep the whole family fuelled for adventure.
