He'll also dip into his back catalogue of crowd-pleasers, including Maggie May and Love Train. The Stoke show will mark the 40th anniversary of the last time he rocked the city, while Rod last brought Brighton's house down in 1986.

Rod Stewart's 2013 performance at the O2 Arena garnered applause from both The Telegraph and The Guardian. Both agreed that Stewart's ability to work a crowd remains undiminished, and that his everyday charm married with his gravelly-voiced delivery of a plethora of rousing hits made for a great evening.
"After kicking off with Can’t Stop Me Now, to remind us that he’s made a very successful new album, Rod ripped into the heart of his catalogue with You Wear It Well, This Old Heart Of Mine and Tonight’s The Night. He paused after a jog through Sam Cooke’s Twistin’ The Night Away to apologise for his voice sounding less than 100 per cent, but hardly anybody can have noticed since they were all screaming out the words themselves and waving their arms in the air."
