The Event

The Blockheads take to the stage at 229 The Venue to celebrate the musical legacy of their departed frontman, Ian Dury. Now headed up by vocalist Derek 'The Draw' Hussey, the band comprises four original members and features a rolling line-up of saxophonists. The new-wave pioneers will treat audiences to old favourites like Billericay Dickie, Reasons To Be Cheerful (Part 3), and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. The ensemble will also play tunes from last year's album, the aptly named 'Same Horse Different Jockey'.
