Based in Hurst Green Village Hall, the festival is centred around JRR Tolkien's association with the grounds and the referenced landmarks in Lord of the Rings, such as Shire Lane in Hurst Green, Buckleberry Ferry inspired by Hacking Hall Ferry on the River Ribble, and the River Shirebourne. Guests will browse the historic area, and can enjoy a lunch of a burger or sausage sandwich (£3) as well as a festival 1/3 pint glass filled with ale (£3). Glass blowing and blacksmith demonstrations are provided for those that want to learn a new skill before the day draws to a close.
