Bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to Torquary Harbour, Macaris Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria is a family-run Italian restaurant which has been spinning out pizza pies and pasta dishes for the last two years. Fantastico feasts could begin with pan-fried calamari dressed in black pepper and lemon juice (£5.10) or bruschetta topped with closed cup mushrooms, red onions, and parsley (£4.10) before stepping aside for the main event. Pizzas include the likes of the giulana with shredded chicken breast, mixed peppers, and sweetcorn (£9.60) or the al fresco adorned with goats cheese, cherry tomatoes, and a balsamic dressing (£9.60). Pasta dishes could come in the shape of the smoked salmon fusilli in a creamy tomato sauce, and tortellini al formaggio e noci with a garlic, mushroom, walnut and cream sauce (both £9.40). A glass of house wine will be on hand to wash all morsels down (£3.10).
