The owl and the pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea green carbon-fibre AC45 catamaran, because they were international sailing champions. Watch the copycats race cheek by owl with today's Groupon from The Mountbatten Centre. Choose from the following options:• £24 for one ticket to watch the America's Cup aboard the Spirit of Plymouth, with bubbly and nibbles at the Mountbatten Centre (£60 value)
• £46 for two tickets to watch America's Cup aboard the Spirit of Plymouth, with bubbly and nibbles at the Mount Batten Centre (£120 value)
The America's Cup World Series brings the world's best sail crews to the fastest racing catamarans, blowing them round a tight and demanding course at speeds that can exceed 30 knots. Hosted this year in Plymouth Sound, spectators will watch as the cats cut waves and throw sails to the wind in their efforts to outdo one another. The Mountbatten Centre has teamed up with Cruise Plymouth to offer sea-hardened sailors and jellylegged landlubbers the chance to watch the race from the water, where they can appreciate the full glory of the day.
Groupon gunwale grippers can bring a friend or friendly parrot to watch the race with today's deal. With a glass of bubbly in hand and a number of nibbles to nibble, Groupon spectators can board the Spirit of Plymouth to watch the Oracle-designed catamarans fly around the Sound.
Mount Batten Centre has impressed an active TripAdvising-family, who special mention of the activity centre’s common areas. However, the Mount Batten Centre is still waiting to be widely reviewed.
All the staff were fantastic and there was a really nice relaxed feel to the place and the bar has a lovely balcony overlooking the boats.
