Docking heavyweight musical tankers from around the world, We, The People festival is making its debut in Bristol's harbor. With three packed stages stocked with global talent and organized by the clotted cream of Bristol's club promoters, the urban festival will be spilling bass lines from 2pm till midnight on the 4th and 5th June, and after-parties are gathering on the horizon to take committed revelers into the early hours.
Today's Groupon is a promise of democratically decided raw talent, with Saturday or Sunday tickets available for £17.50. Saturday's entertainment include Redlight & Dread MC, Example and a live set from Chase and Status, plus more act still being hauled in up the quay. If that doesn't get feet stomping then Sunday's highlights include witnessing Roots Manuva, the epiglottal enigma Beardyman, a masked supervillian by the name of DOOM, and a headline performance from Mike Skinner and The Streets on their fifth and reportedly final tour.
