With two fishing lakes and a 6000 yard golf course extending from its doorstep, this hotel and country club is a haven for those in pursuit of the great outdoors. Offering three star accommodation in barn-like surrounds, the hotel is replete with exposed oak beams and sweeping views of the Cornish countryside. The Black Prince restaurant furnishes a creative menu with fresh local produce where possible, while the sports bar refreshes worn-out players with a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks.

Leaving their valises with the valets, guests can tug on their plus fours and ping, ting, and tap their way around the golf course before dusk. Returning to the hotel, guests can stretch out in their en suite room before hitting the hay in preparation for an epic second day on the battlefield. Having had their fill of the close-cropped greens and tree-lined fairways, guests may wish to try their hand at fishing before taking a dip in the heated pool. We have stayed several times at this hotel and always enjoy our visits. The surroundings are very beautiful and the hotel is well situated and hugely convenient for visiting the many places of interest to be found in this part of Cornwall.

As golfers we enjoy the course,the staff are first class and very helpful and the food is good. We usually pay the small extra amount for one of the 'superior' rooms which are superb and very comfortable.
