A decent drive down the coastline will bring you to the spectacular tropical environs of the Eden Project's greenhouse biomes and the unique experience of walking through an English rainforest. Or if you don't fancy the drive, jump aboard the steam train at Paignton. With a round robin trip you can see the many sights that South Devon has to offer, traversing wooded slopes and sparkling coastlines. Staying a little closer to home, walk through the quaint country lanes and woods of the medieval village of Cockington. This historic spot features the best of Olde English with tea rooms, thatched cottages, and shops spelt shoppe.

Reviews

The Glenross has received a four star rating and Silver Award from Enjoy England, and TripAdvisors rate the hotel a commendable 4.5/5 stars. Reviewers admire the quality of cuisine, accessible location and thoughtful personnel.

Spent 3 days at the Glenross in August. Friendly and homely. Very clean room although a bit of road noise as our bedroom was at the front of the building. Very good food. Short walk to beach & shops. Would be happy to return.

Friendly and flexible, very good food and location for a full holiday or a short break. I enjoyed my first stay an [sic] would happily return in the future.
