Groupon Says
The Groupon Guide to Giving Flowers
Giving flowers is a great way to say the things you feel too awkward to put into words, like "I love you", "Thinking of you", or "I didn't know she was your sister". Here's how to do it right:
Product sourcing
If you can't afford a fancy bouquet from a shop, mums are always thrilled with a hand-picked arrangement. At least until they see what you've done to the garden.
Picking the right posie
Beautiful as they may be, a bunch of Dog’s Tongue, Toadflax or Stink Eye doesn't sound pretty. Always go with the Latin name - it makes you look clever, too.
Longevity
All flowers wither eventually, but some go quicker than others. Look for flush leaves, firm stems, and no sign of a pension plan.
Personal stamp
Nothing says "I’m yours" like a thoughtful bunch of blooms, but nothing says "no you’re not" like forcing a sack full of mulch back through their letterbox.
