Highland games are known for their hearty bagpipe renditions, savoury sporting contests, and nutty hillside excursions on wild haggis. Enjoy flavoursome tradition with today’s Groupon: £8 for a family ticket for two adults and up to five children to the Sekonda Stirling Highland Games.

About The Event
Celebrating Scotland’s rich heritage with a sea of tartan and some burly caber tossing, the Sekonda Stirling Highland Games take place annually just outside the centre of Stirling. The event plays host to traditional feats of heavy athleticism, with the keenly contested tug-of-war followed by some sprightly Highland dancing. Children are kept entertained by a funfair of their own, and adults can tap into youthful enthusiasm by competing in a high-octane space hopper race.

The Venue
Arriving at The Hill in family clans complete with two or more children, visitors can enjoy the Games from 11.30am onwards. The Highland dancing contest kicks off the event and is shortly followed by the heavyweight competition at 1pm, which includes tossing the caber. Guests can also witness a ravenous haggis eating competition and participate in cycling or running events if they complete an online entry form beforehand. The craft fair and kids’ funfair are open throughout, while food stalls and a beer tent can accommodate equally fierce appetites until parties depart at 5.30pm.
