Like a Swiss cheese, a golf course will have a few holes, a smooth finish, and be good for a sand wedge. Get set for some fine nine-ing with today’s Groupon: £24 for a day of golf package including 18 holes, food, and 50 driving range balls at
Mearns Castle Golf Academy.
A celebration of all things golf, this modern academy, a few miles south of Glasgow, features a fully automated driving range, USGA specification wedge play areas, and an all-weather Huxley putting green. Its crowning glory, however, is a challenging par 33, nine hole course that offers a test to golfers of all levels. Congratulatory high fives or missed putt condolences are available alongside various snacks and meals at the academy’s restaurant.
A tea or coffee and a morning roll will be available on arrival, to help fuel the fire for the day of golfing ahead. Golf on the day comes in the form of 18 holes on the course, 50 balls on the driving range, and 60 minutes practice time in the short game area, and players can pick how they want to spread this out over their visit. All swung out, golfers can then retreat to the clubhouse and tuck into a warming soup and sandwich combo.
