Rousing the spirit of adventure within adults and children alike, Action Adventure Activities arranges outdoor pursuits in and around the woodland areas of the Trossachs National Park, just 20 minutes from Glasgow. As well as more typical activities like canoeing, the centre coordinates exhilaratingly unusual ones, ranging from the adrenaline-pumping canyoning and blindfold driving to undoubtedly therapeutic axe-throwing and crossbow shooting. These team-building pursuits are perfect for hen and stag parties and corporate development sessions, though axe-throwing with the boss is probably not advisable.
Visitors with a need for speed will receive a 45 minute introductory session on a quad bike, beginning with a ride on the nursery slope, continuing with humps and bumps, a farmland course and a see-saw experience. If riders are still feeling fast and furious, they can choose to go mountain boarding, during which they’ll skateboard off-road down grassy hills. For a change of pace, guests might opt for hunting archery, aiming at life-size targets placed around the woodland range. Both activities are supervised and last an hour.
