Before hotels arrived on the scene, travellers had to undergo the tedious process of transporting their homes
brick-by-brick to the site of their holiday-making. Leave the shovels and cement behind with today's Groupon:
for £83 instead of £207.50, treat a significant second to a one night getaway with dinner and breakfast at
Brander Lodge Hotel and Bistro.
Solving slab shortages across Scotland, the Brander Lodge Hotel and Bistro is a delightful retreat nestled amidst the
rugged expanses of the Western Highlands. A modern enterprise housed in a vintage white-washed building with stained wood features, this typically Scottish
retreat flanked by a craggy mountainside offers patrons a range of desirable facilities including a bounteous beauty room and a fine dining restaurant. Enjoying an
enviable position within easy access of the central belt, a move to Brander Lodge may just result in the permanent abandonment of all of a home's bricks.

Gable-ended Groupon holders can abandon the mortar and head down to Brander Lodge for a one night getaway for two, complete with dinner and breakfast.
Sweeping down from the dramatic uplands of central Scotland, settle into the comely embrace of the tranquil Brander Lodge. Greeted by breath taking views
on every side, spend the time exploring magnificent local sights, carousing the charming coastal settlement of Oban on the
banks of the Firth of Lorn or simply pottering about the local town. When night draws in, gaze up at the crystal clear sky, picking out stars in vivid detail
before solving the hunger problem with a tasty two course meal, choosing from starters such as chicken liver pate (£6.25) and Loch Fyne mussels in Drambuie
cream (£5.50) followed by Inverawe smoked chicken and venison salad (£10.95) and pan-fried fillet of sea bass (£14.50). When the Land of Nod calls, retire
for the evening in sumptuous comfort before awaking to a choice of a Scottish or continental breakfast.

Food, as last time was excellent and the new restaurant menu offers a wonderful selection on all three courses. A warm and friendly welcome makes you feel 'so much at home' in this family run hotel. Great location, surrounded by beautful hills and river at bottom of the garden and is only a short run into Oban.

Right from the time we arrived, to the day we left David Keats & his team provided everything we needed, from laundry to meals. Their knowledge of the area is fantastic, we did a couple of day trips to Oban & Fort William & Dave was able to provide some great tips. The food is great, as is the service.
