When two became one it made for impressive wedding revelries, as well as confusing the basic mathematical power to square numbers. Put roots down with your partner with today’s Groupon: £3,980 for a platinum wedding package including a venue with sea views, red carpet reception and four course dinner for up to 100 guests at Brisbane House Hotel.

With Largs’ panorama of the Scottish Islands, Brisbane House Hotel’s floor-to-ceiling glass fronts are awash with seaside views that are a standard with every stay, and a fresh accompaniment to the beginning of married life. The two bridal suites bubble over with mod cons such as JacuzzVai baths, and simmer with a view of a spectacular Scottish sunset, while the 24 rooms have been recently refurbished into boutique en-suites, equipped with contemporary features like Wi-Fi and a plasma TV. As a calm breeze billows romantically in and around the hotel’s coastal location, cooing couples looking for advice and ideas can be easily swayed towards the hotel’s Wedding Fayre.

Twosomes are helped on their way with a personal wedding planner, master of ceremonies, and superb bridal suite to ensure the celebrations are anything but sleepy. On the day itself, a red carpet reception and piper will welcome the happy couple, followed by up to 100 guests nibbling on canapés and sipping on bubbly. With hire of the reception room included, chairs will be ensconced with covers and sashes that match the selected colour theme, tables finished with corresponding floral arrangements, shining table mirrors, curling candles and candelabras, and the two-tier cake set up for snap-happy slicing. Menus, place cards, table names and printed table plan will also be provided. Newlyweds can then descend their thrones, provided by the hotel, and dig into a rumble-allaying four course wedding breakfast. There will be DJ entertainment for those wishing to continue the festivities into the evening, and another round of belly-soothing intake with an evening buffet for up to 100 guests. Once a sweat has been broken and food fully digested, the newly married duo can head to their honeymoon suite for an overnight stay including bubbly and strawberries dipped in chocolate. There are also reduced room rates for guests.

Reviews
The Brisbane House Hotel is met with a satisfying 3.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor. While most reviews are not related to weddings, guests seemed to have a comfortable stay complemented with a warm reception and delicious dining, as reviewed by Tam Cowan of The Daily Record.
Our room, lit up with the afternoon sun streaming through the sea view window, was spotless, tastefully decorated, and the bed was a little piece of heaven, (truly one of the best nights [sic] sleep I've had).

From my booking to departure all was dealt with courteously and professionally. Our room 105 was a complimentary upgrade, was beautiful with a four poster bed and plenty of space for us to entertain. The bathroom was to die for with a shower and a jaccuzzi [sic] bath.
