Striking down on the tea with a sand wedge often results in a fairway full of broken china. Enjoy a round of scones instead with today’s Groupon: £16.95 for a luxury afternoon tea for two at Cafe Ocho.
Located on the murmuring banks of Glasgow’s Forth and Clyde canal, Cafe Ocho acts as an appetising pit stop for hungry drifters. The cafe accommodates guests with a buoyant atmosphere, clean and bright interiors, and wholesome food that veers away from pretention. Welcoming both sweet and savoury preferring palates, the menu sails through traditional comfort fare such as hearty burgers, enchiladas and gammon steak right through to authentic Clootie dumplings.
Guests can dock their vessels and take their seats canal-side, tucking in to this indulgent afternoon tea for two. After mulling over the decision between tea and coffee, four sandwich rounds and a selection of cakes are presented to diners. Scones filled with butter, jam, and cream round off this tasty affair, leaving guests to float downstream and delve into Glasgow central. Customers will also get a 50% discount on a glass of Cava each.
Reviews
TripAdvisors rate Cafe Ocho 4/5. Reviewers commend the homemade taste, friendly and accommodating service as well as the views of the canal.
We all had the Chicken Pie with a lovely light puff pastry topping. The filling had plenty of tasty chicken, think it was breast meat in a lovely white sauce. Real home made food and very yummy.

Great value for money and the food was freshly made after ordering. Extremely clean and bright interior. Very attentive staff/owner. It is only half a mile from Glasgow city centre and would definately be worth the walk if you are visiting Glasgow.
