Spinning out sub-continental flavours in Glasgow’s West End, Masala Twist dishes out an eclectic blend of traditional Indian fare with strictly Scottish influences. The establishment is stirred with classic curries embellished with select cuts of chicken, lamb, and seafood, as well as paying homage to more innovative offerings with rabbit, haggis, and mince and tatties dishes. A take-away service is also available for those wishing to tuck in at home.
The first bite of fusion feasts could start with the mixed sharing platter with haggis, vegetable, and chicken pakoras, chicken chaats, onion bhajis, and samosas (£11.95) or deep-fried aubergine fritters coated in spices and gram flour (£4.25). Moving on, main choices include the delicate flavours of the murgh jalfrezi with chicken, ginger, almonds, and cashews (£10.95), and the exotic junglee khargosh with rabbit and complementary spices (14.95). Pairs will share a side dish, with options including the keema naan (£3.95) or egg fried rice (£3.50). Whatever the choice, all meals will be washed down with a glass of house wine (£3.95) each.
