A family run restaurant backed up by three generations of Indian inspiration, Mister Singh’s serves up a culinary mash-up featuring authentically inspired bites of Asian and Highland cuisine. The menu sports cross-cultural delights like spicy mince and tatties and curry pies, while the waiting staff are lavishly adorned in kilt-turban combos, and prepared to answer any flavour-based questions. With dishes amended to order, and a range of spice factor on the menu, the restaurant’s spacious and modern interior also makes for corporate event space and the odd karaoke night, all a samosa’s throw from Charing Cross station.
Spice inspired pupils will be welcomed into the restaurant with a drink each, before cracking on with the lesson as Mister Singh’s family recipe for haggis pakora is revealed. Guests can get their hands dirty as they get familiar with the ingredients, learn how to prepare the haggis, and get a comprehensive run-through of the cooking technique in a session lasting the 45 minutes to one hour. Teams of up to 14 can toast to their kitchen success with a congratulatory glass of house wine or a Cobra beer, as they munch on a three course Indian meal that includes their own pakoras, finished off with a healthy dollop of ice-cream. Each customer will also leave clutching a top-secret copy of the recipe, freshly equipped with a dinner party winner.

Though the Haggis Pakora masterclasses are yet to be widely remarked upon, Mister Singh’s received tasty scores of 4/5 from Yelp users and 3.5/5 from TripAdvisors. While there were some mixed opinions on the service at times, diners generally praised the staff and the quality of the food.
