Giving unborn babies the opportunity to wave at their mums on camera, Peek a View Baby Scanning uses a GE Voluson 730 scanner to peer at mini passengers. Their comfortable scan rooms can accommodate five family members comfortably or up to eight at a push, and each contains a wide-screen TV on which to view babies before birth. This Manchester clinic, near Manchester Oxford Road rail station, offers packages to view and record different stages of the pregnancy.
During the appointment, which will last up to 45 minutes, a sonographer will apply gel to their abdomen in order to view their baby on the television screen. The session will include a verbal assessment of the pregnancy’s progress and the option of gender identification. Proud parents will leave with a 15 minute DVD movie of the foetus and selected still images on a CD, as well as eight 3D colour photographs.
