Originally transporting seaworthy patrons along the River Clyde, The Ferry is now a shipshape, multi-purpose entertainment venue and restaurant. The last of its kind to sail between Renfrew and Yoker, the vessel is now permanently moored and redesigned as a taste bud, and ear, pleasing complex. Top-deck dining allows for stunning riverside views, while wedding and private parties are frequently hosted underneath the bold glass atrium.
Hungry parties of two or four can satisfy appetites with a main course, with choices including the chef’s roast of the day. Meats of the day include beef, pork, lamb, or chicken, and will be topped off with a generous helping of roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Other main course options include the Ferry Burger, All Day Breakfast or pasta served with a side of garlic bread. Starters and desserts are also available for an additional fee, while meals will be complemented by up to four blues bands on Big Blues Days, or the hits of Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald courtesy of Bobby Deans Big Band on other dates.
Available dates:
The Bobby Deans Big Band: 12, 19 and 26 August 2012; 9 and 16 September 2012; 7, 14 and 21 October 2012
Big Blues Day: 5 August 2012; 2, 30 September 2012; 28 October 2012
Reviews
TripAdvisors award The Ferry an encouraging 3.5/5 stars. While some encountered a wait for meals, reviewers are eager to praise the standard of cuisine and entertainment.
I regularly visit the Ferry for music, and it's always an excellent experience. Great staff, superb tribute band - thanks for another great night guys! I ate there at lunch time on Sunday 27th May. Sat outside and enjoyed the glorious weather with a lovely bowl of chilli. Very nice! – ChaelaChan, TripAdvisor, May 2012
